Keep your physical passport nearby. You’ll photograph the data page during your application.

• At least 6 months validity from your Vietnam arrival date.
• One clear shot of the photo page (not the cover, not visa stamps).
• Make sure all four corners are visible, with nothing cropped or cut off.
• No glare, no shadows, no fingers in the machine-readable zone.

Use a recent, passport-style headshot. Vietnam requires a 4×6-style photo on a white background, and our app helps you crop and align it automatically.

• Face the camera straight on, neutral expression, good lighting.
• Plain white or very light background.
• No hats, no glasses. Hair shouldn’t cover your eyes or face.
• Skip dim rooms, strong shadows, and cluttered backgrounds.

Lock in how and when you’re entering Vietnam. These should reflect your real travel plans.

• Planned arrival date (and whether you need standard or express).
• The airport, land border, or seaport you’ll enter through.
• Single-entry or multiple-entry (if both are offered for your nationality).
